I just had a baby! OK, well I didn't technically have a baby but I'm a new Aunt so I embracing the new baby atmosphere just the same. And since my new little nephew is 100% bottle fed, I was so excited to check out the CPSIA compliant Coddlelife Laboratory Grade Borosilicate Glass Bottles and the PP (Polypropylene) Bottle with Peristaltic Anti-colic nipple. Glass just seems safer in these scary recall days and anti-colic doesn't sound so bad either!

The Coddlelife Polypropylene (pink one shown above) bottle features the Peristaltic nipple which has it's own little 'breathing tube' as I called it to help pull some of the air out of the bottle. The tube has a tiny slits at the bottom to redirect air up and out of the bottle & the nipple top is very soft/stretchy and has a textured lip base to stimulate baby's senses. The 8 oz Borosilicate Glass Bottle is lighter than I expected (never having held a glass baby bottle before). It has a very solid and sturdy feel that was still very comfortable when feeding the baby. What's up with borosilicate glass? Story time at our house is by far one of the nicest moments of the day. Regardless if it's bedtime, playtime or crazytime, snuggling up for a story calms everyone's nerves. It distracts us all (yes even mommy) from all the other daily responsibilities and with the right book will end with lots of giggles, hugs and maybe even a good tickle fight.

Big Fun! and Wet Friend! are two books that are not only thrilling for kids, they are a super fun read for grownups. The retro styled Adventure Of Meno series is the gloriously colorful and energetic tale of Meno, a quirky elf of space that lives in a house of cloud who has equally quirky friends. Written by husband and wife team Tony and Angela Diterlizzi and brought to you in Meno-Color by Simon & Schuster, you can't get through these books reading out loud in a normal voice. With a brief appearance by David Hasselhoff, you may find yourself thinking the books are funnier than your kids do. Is your baby at that stage where they are starting to walk but stumble a lot and quiet often slump back down on the floor to crawl instead? Finding the right shoe for this stage cab be really tricky. You want to outfit them in a pair of shoes that are sturdy for walking but not clunky to trip them up or weigh them down when crawling.

We found a very cool pair of big kid style shoes that with a baby and growing baby in mind. One of my favorite parts of this style in particular (the Taylor show above) is that the rubber soul wraps up and around the tip of the toes. I had countless shoes that I had to toss and wasn't able to hand down because the toes were too scuffed up from crawling even though the rest of the shoe was fine. This adds a little extra protection when their crawling and dragging their toes. Mommies heart this time of year. It's a time of year when we are probably about 88% sure we are going to get something shiny and new. If it's not a new appliances (the other white meat for moms) it's jewelry.
