Poppin Prints: Classy Photo Cards & Invites (GIVEAWAY ALERT)

Tags Win It Wednesday , paper Blogged By posh { Comment (9) }

Since the birth of my first child I have yet to order personalized stationary for myself. It's so hard these days because the kids stuff is so much cuter. And really, no one wants to hear from me and the Facebook updates are probably enough.

So, let's face it. Once you have a kid it's all about them. And while you may not mind spending more for your precious bundle when shopping for things like photo card birth announcements, it can get really expensive really fast. I remember spending a whopping $3.75 per card for baby #1's photo cards and they were a simple one sided postcard. I actually think my wedding invitations with all sorts of fancy layers and embellishments cost less. Finding that balance between professional & affordable is tricky!

Photo Cards @ Poppin Prints

Poppin Prints is a hip new online invitation, photo card and custom stationary shop from Portland area photographer Laura McGraw. They offer gorgeous modern stationary on their signature metallic cardstock for baby announcements, personalized stationery, invitations and thank you cards with much easier to swallow rates. Photo cards start as low as $1.49. My favorite is Poppin Print's double sided trifold style (pictured below). The front of the card shows your design (lot's of different styles to choose from), followed by a photo and then the birth information with an accordion style fold. Plus you get to add 3 more photos to the backside. Lastly it folds down to a nice, no special postage needed, 5.50 x 4.25 inch size!

Tri Fold Stationary From Poppin Prints

1. Dancing Monkeys - 4.25 x 5.50 bi fold set of 10 ($19.90); 2. Movin Teal - 4.25 x 5.50 flat set of 10 (13.90); 3. Modern Poppin - 4.25 x 5.50 flat  set of 10 ($17.90); 4. Woodstock: Pink - 5.00 x 7.00 flat  set of 15 ($26.85);  5. Precious Chocolate - 7.00 x 5.00 flat  set of 15 ($28.35); 6. Animal Friends - 7.00 x 5.00 flat set of 10 ($19.90); 7. Classic Retro Argyle - 5.50 x 4.25 tri fold set of 10 ($29.90)

IT'S A GIVEAWAY! One lucky Posh Little reader will win a $50 gift certificate to Poppin Prints! Open to US residents, 18 years and older.

LeSportsac's Gone Crazy

Tags Win It Wednesday , used it , travel , diaper bags Blogged By posh { Comment (65) }

And we think it's fantastic! LeSportsac's Artist In Residence collection for Spring 2010, designed by Zurich raised and London schooled designer and illustrator, Katharina Leuzinger, is a kooky, colorful and bold new line that will dazzle moms and kids alike. The imagination filled oceanic prints shows mustached ships and love struck fish in a quirky sea of bow tie wearing octopuses and silly sea lions dressed like sailors. The House Boat design (shown on this collection) is wild, tons fun and as with all trusty LeSportsac bags... reliable, durable and versatile.

Whether you use it as a diaper bag or carryall, the Double Trouble Tote (pictured far left; $98) is a huge and wonderful 2 compartment bag that has two exterior side pockets with Velcro closures. There are three interior pockets; one large zippered pocket that doubles as the divider for the two main compartments and 2 smaller pockets (one zipped and one open for easy access). Organized and handy for easy grab items as well as things you need to keep secure which are all requirements that moms on the go need. It's 13.75 x 12 x 7.5 in (about the size of a grocery bag) with two strong and handles and a top snap closure.

Save a paper bag and pack your lunch in style with the Snack Sac (pictured center; $20). This pizzazz packed reusable lunch bag is large enough to pack food for the whole family, tote snacks and seals shut with a Velcro and roll top closure.

The little one's are not left out from this amazing collection! The Clubhouse Pouch (picture right; $15) which was confiscated by my 3 year old before I even had a chance to finish opening the box, is an adorable little house faced purse with a zippered top and handle with a quick release clip lock. Shop the whole Katharina Leuzinger LeSportsac Artist In Residence Collection (prices range from $20 -$128) @ LeSportsac.Com

GIVEAWAY!! One lucky Posh Little reader will get to win this whole set ($133 value). You'll get the fabulous Double Trouble Tote, a Snack Sac, and a Clubhouse Pouch from LeSportsac. Open to US residents, 18 years and older. To enter (you may do any/all of these) by 3/17/2010:

googoo&gaga Tattoo Heart & Rockstar Infant Tee's

If your baby has a Mohawk or perhaps a bad attitude (a.k.a cries when hungry or tired), then he could totally rock these gorgeous tattoo inspired infant tees. If your baby rides a motorcycle, is in a band (air guitar, Guitar Hero and Rock Band count) or has a tendency to drool, then he could pull off these bold designs. If your baby is a baby, then he would also look killer yet cute in these baby bodysuits from googoo&gaga.

When husband and wife team A.J. & Audrey created googoo&gaga, they used their imagination, structure, quirkiness, and sensibility to, "celebrate differences more than resist them." The result? A stunning art driven line of baby & toddler tee's that mix attitude with style. These tee's embrace a daring and edgy vibe that juxtapose the crazy color/design fusion make for not only an adorable tee, dribbles and spit up mix and mingle beautifully and then fades away. $34.50 CA ($33.21ish USD) @ 9Baby.Ca

Feeding Safety On The Go (Giveaway Alert)

Tags Win It Wednesday , feeding , BPA Free Blogged By posh { Comment (40) }

Complete BPA Feeding System

Toxic chemicals are not words we want to hear anywhere near our baby bottles and feeding items. With the ever growing concerns of BPA, Phthalates, PVC and lead, we're now being forced to read labels not just on the ingredients of the food we eat but also the cups, plates, bowls and utensils that we use.

ThinkBaby on the go feeding containers (set or separates) address all of these concerns with the absence of BPA, phthalates, nitrosamines, lead, PVC and melamine. They're made from sustainable Food Grade stainless steel and dressed up with a bright and colorful outer shell of Polypropylene which not only looks cool but aids in insulating the containers. The bento box and bowls come with lids so they are cute, safe and portable! The 7 oz mug is a fun item for post-sippy cup kids (and mom too).

And what about melamine? As a mom who has several melamine products in the house, I too have questioned it's safety and the potential to pose a risk. So I embrace a company who asks, "does the product have to have melamine?" Nope. So ThinkBaby built their feeding containers to be completely free of melamine. Starting at $9.99 @ ThinkBabyBottles.Com

Win This! Enter for your chance to win a super cool bento box, bowl, and mug (choice of blue or orange) from ThinkBaby! Enter by 3/8/2010. Open to US residents. To enter (you may do any of these):

A Cocoon Of Cotton

Tags Win It Wednesday , used it , blankets , baby shower gifts Blogged By posh { Comment (18) }

It's amazing how much better babies sleep when they are swaddled. It took me 3 babies to realize this! Swaddling is definitely a skill that takes a little time to master but when you finally get it right and have a good blanket to use, your cocooned baby will will sleep better and longer!

Native Australian turned Texas mom, Diana Cregan, created her own line of swaddle blankets after the birth of her son in 2006. Cregan was surprised that her American friends had never seen anything like the swaddling wraps she was using from home. She created Koala Kuddles swaddle blankets and kept more than just basic swaddling in mind.

Koala Kuddles are swaddle blankets made of lightweight and breathable 100% muslin cotton and have either native Australian animal prints (kangaroo, giant sea turtle, crocodile and platypus) or green polka dots. They soften more and more with each wash and the loose weave gives the blanket a little stretch plus allows the excess heat to escape (great for spring/summer babies).

Large enough for easy swaddling (perfect if your just learning the art of swaddling) and can also be used as a nursing, stroller or car seat cover.  $29.95 (set of 3) @ KoalaKuddles.Com

The Texthook - Cell Phone Holder - Stroller Accessory

Here's a slick little stroller accessory to keep your cell phone handy when strolling in the park and or keep you entertained on the treadmill!

The Texthook is a simple yet handy little gadget that has an adjustable base and Velco strap that securely and conveniently holds your cell phone on most stroller handlebars (or anything with a handlebar). It took me less than a minute, not reading the instructions, to figure out how to attach it and holds on very solid. Depending on your stroller you can have it front and center or off to the side and it didn't obstruct my view anymore than my cup of coffee would! (Loving it on my treadmill, too!) A BPA Free Bottle That Breathes

Tags Win It Wednesday , used it , PVC Free , feeding , BPA Free Blogged By posh { Comment (16) }

Coddlelife Borosilicate Glass & PP Baby Bottle

I just had a baby! OK, well I didn't technically have a baby but I'm a new Aunt so I embracing the new baby atmosphere just the same. And since my new little nephew is 100% bottle fed, I was so excited to check out the CPSIA compliant Coddlelife Laboratory Grade Borosilicate Glass Bottles and the PP (Polypropylene) Bottle with Peristaltic Anti-colic nipple. Glass just seems safer in these scary recall days and anti-colic doesn't sound so bad either!

The Coddlelife Polypropylene (pink one shown above) bottle features the Peristaltic nipple which has it's own little 'breathing tube' as I called it to help pull some of the air out of the bottle. The tube has a tiny slits at the bottom to redirect air up and out of the bottle & the nipple top is very soft/stretchy and has a textured lip base to stimulate baby's senses. The bottle has a nice chunky design that's very comfortable in your hand, is super light and of course are non-toxic, BPA, lead. PVC & Phthalates free. $6.99 (currently on sale for$5.59) @ Coddlelife.Com

The 8 oz Borosilicate Glass Bottle is lighter than I expected (never having held a glass baby bottle before). It has a very solid and sturdy feel that was still very comfortable when feeding the baby. What's up with borosilicate glass? Laboratories use this same kind of glass as well as the thermal insulation tiles in space shuttles (coated with borosilicate glass) due to it's superior strength, durability and ability to resist thermal shock. They're non-toxic, BPA, lead. PVC & Phthalates free. $8.26 @ Amazon.Com

Glass Baby Bottle Cover

The Coddlelife Silicone Bottle Wraps are the coolest thing. The colors are so vibrant and are such a hip cozy (way cooler and more hygienic than whatever grandma is knitting you) for the Borosilicate Glass Bottles. They help insulate the bottles, add a cushy feel for the bottles and help prevent against breakage. They are also microwave and dishwasher safe plus they have an opening along the side so you can see the contents of the bottle. Non-toxic, BPA, Lead. PVC & Phthalates free.  $4.99 @ Amazon.Com

Win This! Enter for your chance to win 1 of each of these (glass bottle, PP bottle & cover)! Enter by 1/31/2010. Open to US residents, 18 years and older; void where prohibited. To enter (you may do any of these):

Books That Channel Your Inner Alien Or Crazy Foreign Accent

Tags Win It Wednesday , used it , it's rad , books Blogged By posh { Comment (19) }

Story time at our house is by far one of the nicest moments of the day. Regardless if it's bedtime, playtime or crazytime, snuggling up for a story calms everyone's nerves. It distracts us all (yes even mommy) from all the other daily responsibilities and with the right book will end with lots of giggles, hugs and maybe even a good tickle fight.

Big Fun! and Wet Friend! are two books that are not only thrilling for kids, they are a super fun read for grownups. The retro styled Adventure Of Meno series is the gloriously colorful and energetic tale of Meno, a quirky elf of space that lives in a house of cloud who has equally quirky friends. Written by husband and wife team Tony and Angela Diterlizzi and brought to you in Meno-Color by Simon & Schuster, you can't get through these books reading out loud in a normal voice. With a brief appearance by David Hasselhoff, you may find yourself thinking the books are funnier than your kids do. It's my new favorite for story time and one that I always ask, "Do you want me to read it again?" Find the whole Meno series @ Borders.Com.

Want to find some big fun with Meno online? Turn your computer into Planet Meno with colorful & fun desktop wallpapers and a downloadable coloring book featuring Meno and his out of this world friends @ PlanetMeno.Com

Win This! Contest Details: One lucky PL reader will win signed copies of Wet Friend! and Big Fun! as well as a custom-made blanket with either the Wishi character or the Meno character (winners choice of character).

Use the code MENO here to enter via email entry form for a chance to win by 1/12/09. Open to USA & Canada residents, 18 years or older.
