Baby Naming Trends
2008 Baby Naming Trends |
| The popular, top 10 names, year after year don't
seem to really change that much. But since the top 10 names really only
represent 25% of the naming population, there are a lot of changes year after
year that lead new mommies and daddies to the other 75% on names! Here are some
recent methods and stratagies.

Location Names |
| While we pray that the recent boom in place names is not due to the popularity of Paris Hilton, it is a booming trend nonetheless! After the painstaking dissecting and magnifying of every potential name, there are a myriad of interesting and beautiful names that maybe we are overlooking because we see them on a street sign or "Some one from Quebec" loves me shirt! London, Paris, Boston, Ireland, India and so on are popping up more than just on the map! Maybe turning to an atlas or asking Sue Sue for suggestions would be a great new place to look! |

Multiple Middle Names |
| While it is true, we barely even use our 1st middle name, 2 or
more middle names is becoming more commonplace. Customs and family traditions
may play a role in the number of names and middle names a baby gets, but we are
seeing more and more double middle names. Two middle names may be a perfect
compromise for the mommies and daddies that just can't agree on a name!
|
Vowel Names |
| This seems to hold true mostly for girl baby names. Even by looking at the top ten you can see that names that start with vowels are all the rage! Emily, Isabella, Emma, Ava... 7 out of the top 10 girl baby names start with vowels. |
